OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

Our 10 week-long internship program is designed to provide real-world experience that is directly related to your career goals and field of study to help you gain a better understanding of career options for your degree. Below are a few highlights of our program:

  • Hands on experience working as a member of a specific department and team

  • Job shadowing opportunities

  • Summer project and final leadership presentation

  • Networking opportunities

  • Paid internship

  • Summer hours

OUR INTERNS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the full-cycle VMU (Visual Merchandising Update)

  • Work in stores on VMU set up and preparation for executive visits

  • Support development of window concepts and other in store displays in partnership with Marketing

  • Merchant support in mock store set up process

  • Assist in merchanting concepts for stores based on assortment each month

  • Assist Director of Visual Merchandising in TOP process each month

  • Assist Director of Visual Merchandising and Senior Graphic Designer on laydown photoshoots when needed

  • Work in the store part time (1-2 days a week) to support VMU and other selling needs

  • Work with the Regional Director part time during store support

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

  • Junior or Senior working toward a 4-year degree in Retail Merchandising, Visual Merchandising or similar area of study

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience at a fashion retailer desired

  • Specialty retail store experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills

  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize

  • InDesign and Photoshop experience preferred

  • Knowledge of design, color and fashion trends preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Ability to work in our Plymouth, MN Corporate Office during core business hours Monday - Friday

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Able to work up to 40 hours a week
