Christopher & Banks Staff Accountant II in Plymouth, Minnesota

Overview

Christopher & Banks is looking for a Staff Accountant II for our Corporate Office in Plymouth, MN.

The Staff Accountant II is responsible for maintaining general ledgers, generating internal financial statements and performing other accounting functions.

How you will spend your time...

  • Participate in month-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Perform inventory accounting function to maximize company inventory integrity. Maintain cross-functional partnerships with Logistics, Store Operations, and third-party vendors. Lead annual physical inventory and reconciliation process.

  • Analyze financial statements to support expense control and accurate reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements for assigned responsibilities.

  • Gather audit evidence and submit to internal and external auditors.

  • Streamline accounting processes to be more effective.

What you will need to be successful....

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience

Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

Knowledge/Skills/Certifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel and Access

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
